Member Requirements.
IN:WA is not a networking group. Nor are we about ‘the work’. Our focus is on the value of peer-to-peer sharing and learning, and representing our sector. Our members are the owners and leaders of independent, WA-owned communications and creative businesses.
Membership criteria
IN:WA invites membership from the owners and leaders of businesses that meet these criteria:
100% independently-owned
Domiciled and operating primarily in Western Australia
Established and reputable commercial communications business with an ABN
Membership is only valid while the member continues to meet these criteria.

Membership requirements
Attendance
Our community is based on member relationships built on trust. Attendance of our events, especially the Owners and Leaders Assemblies and Informals, is strongly encouraged. Because membership value is based on sharing and we want all members contributing, and learning.
Primary Members
Each business is asked to nominate a Primary Member, who commits to attending events on behalf of your business. The focus is on attendance by your Primary Member. Secondary Members are also nominated to fill in for your Primary Member, when they are unable to attend.
Openness
Our board works hard to create groups and environments where trust can grow based on open sharing, and collaborative learning. We encourage all members to be open, both to sharing your own experiences and points of view, and to hearing and learning from fellow members.
Confidentiality
IN:WA membership includes a member confidentiality clause to build trust and establish spaces and events where sharing can happen safely. We want all members to feel confident to share, participate and learn from each other in an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
